Leon Glatzer

Leon Glatzer is Germany's most successful surfer. He is 27 years young, born on Maui, Hawaii, and grew up in Costa Rica. Leon is the son of German parents from Kassel.

Coming from the jungle of Costa Rica, Leon sensationally qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. It is the first time that surfing is a sport at the Olympic Games, Leon is among the 20 best surfers in the world.

International Ocean Film Tour

We are proud to be a mobility partner of the International Ocean Film Tour. As a company committed to a more sustainable future, we feel closely aligned with the Ocean Film Tour's mission. For NIO, "Blue Sky Coming" is not just a motto, but our guiding philosophy for a brighter and more sustainable future.

For 10 years, our new partner has not only presented high-quality films, but also shared stories, knowledge and inspiration about the oceans. The films on the tour offer sporting highlights, insights into current developments in marine conservation and activism as well as captivating adventures on, in and under the water.

Surfer Dan

Attention Brain Freeze: The waves on Lake Superior are at their best in the middle of a winter storm. That's when Dan Schetter jumps into the water to do what he says saved his life: Surfing between ice floes! Because nothing clears your head like jumping into cold water.

Born to Windsurf

"When you compete, winning is the only thing that matters." This is Bjørn Dunkerbeck's motto. As a windsurfer, he has won a total of 42 world championship titles. But can he do more? Now the 51-year-old wants to go one better and has set his sights on a new world speed record.
