With its enormous energy radiation, the sun can help us solve our energy problems. Because it has long been clear that we cannot continue to use oil, coal and gas as before if we want to prevent a climate catastrophe. Solar energy in its various forms is the future.

In addition to the sun's radiation, the earth is always exposed to a stream of particles, the so-called solar wind. After strong eruptions, this can occasionally build up to storm force. At high latitudes on Earth, you can then see magically beautiful auroras, but there is also a threat to satellites and other technology.

Compared to many other stars, the sun is a rather modest little star. We can read from other stars what the sun's past and future look like. And again and again it becomes clear that the sun is exactly the right star for us on earth - it is our star of life.
