Frankfurt, December 06, 2023 - Multi-platinum hard rock legends EXTREME released Six, their first new studio album in over a decade, on June 9. As part of their "Thicker Than Blood" world tour, which kicked off in North America in August and is coming to Europe via Japan and Australia, the band has now announced three more dates for 2024 in Germany after two shows in Berlin (few tickets available) and Cologne (sold out!). EXTREME will play on June 4 in Frankfurt (Batschkapp), on June 12 in Oberhausen (Turbinenhalle 2) and on June 25 in Hamburg (Große Freiheit 36).

Six is the long-awaited follow-up to the 2008 album Saudades de Rock. The iconic Boston quartet - Gary Cherone (vocals), Nuno Bettencourt (guitar), Pat Badger (bass) and Kevin Figueiredo (drums) also recently unveiled the video for lead single "Rise". The video, directed by Nuno and shot in Los Angeles, showcases the band's undeniable passion and energy.

The footage for Six was produced at Nuno's home studio in Los Angeles, where the members came together to channel their electrifying eclecticism that has defined their groundbreaking output - but with a 21st century twist. With a mix of hard rock attacks and sensitive ballads, Six creates a unique soundscape that will leave fans in awe.

EXTREME have proven themselves to be one of the most unpredictable and undeniable groups in rock history, with songs that resonate throughout pop culture. Their music appears in cult series à la Bill & Ted and the Netflix heavyweight "Stranger Things". They have sold 10 million records, topped the Billboard Hot 100, filled major venues worldwide, performed at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in London and regularly have over 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. However, their dynamic approach is heavier than ever on their 2023 album Six.

Among many other highlights, the song "Play With Me" not only graced the soundtrack of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, but also the opening of season 4 of "Stranger Things". With the album "EXTREME II: Pornograffitti", the band made it into the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and eventually received a double platinum award. The songs "Hole Hearted" (No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100) and the generational hit "More Than Words" were particularly successful. The latter entered the "Hot 100" at number 1 and is still one of the most popular rock songs of all time with over half a billion streams and 633 million YouTube views. The song was used in the blockbuster comedy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and Jimmy Fallon and Jack Black covered it on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" (and reinterpreted the iconic video). Other cover versions range from The Piano Guys to Frankie J. The album III Sides To Every Story, which went gold, brought the band back into the top 10 of the Billboard 200. After "Waiting for the Punchline" (1995) and "Saudades de Rock" (2008), the musicians wowed the crowds on tour. They received public praise from Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine, Brian May of Queen and John Mayer. They also opened for Aerosmith in front of a sold-out crowd at Fenway Park. Gary was the lead singer with Van Halen ("Van Halen III") and has recorded and performed with Joe Perry. Nuno, on the other hand, has performed with Steven Tyler and Rihanna.
