In the organizer's words:
For Großmütterzählen , Sophia Bizer, Leonie Greta Hardt and Stina Hinrichs spoke to their own and other grandmothers about role models.The three performers wanted to find out from the grandmothers how they dealt with social expectations of them as women* and what they stood up for.
Inspired by the dialog between young and old, a performance was created that reflects experiences and memories, tells of resistance and confrontations, and poses personal and social questions about dreams and a fulfilled life.
Diverse life stories enter into an exchange with each other and are physically explored and questioned. Experiences from the past and present are combined in a collage of dance, performance and object-based theater. The performance invites us to look for connections between the generations and to take a feminist look at role expectations.
