Internationaler Museumstag im Wilhelm-Hack-Museum

The Wilhelm-Hack-Museum celebrates International Museum Day on Sunday, May 19, 2024.

Every year, International Museum Day is celebrated throughout Germany with a variety of programs and initiatives. Under the motto #MuseenEntdecken (#DiscoverMuseums), the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum is offering a varied, free program on Whitsunday, 19 May 2024, both in the museum and in the hack-museumsgARTen.

Families can look forward to an interactive guided tour for young and old from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., during which the collection presentation "Poetry of the Elements" can be explored. Another guided tour through the current exhibitions, from 3 to 4 p.m., will be led by Eva Tumanova. The museum studio opens its doors to young artists from 3 to 5 p.m., where creativity can be realized through painting, drawing, handicrafts and much more!

In the hack-museumsgARTen, the program starts at 2 pm with the workshop "Quartier ist hier", which lasts until 4 pm. As part of the cultural project "Greenhouse of the Future", designs and visions of intersection designs in the center of Ludwigshafen will be discussed and constructed. The workshop is offered by the day care center in the Caritas support center St. Johannes and St. Michael with the second date on Saturday, May 25, from 2 to 4 pm.

At 3 pm, the garden café will open its doors until 6 pm with coffee and homemade cakes. At the same time, plants can find a new home at the plant exchange.

At 4:30 pm, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of plant music with sound artist Karin Zimmer. Using special headphones, they can listen to the mysterious sounds produced by the plants in the hack-museumsgARTen.
