You can't interpret the lyrics of Leech. This is mainly due to the fact that the Swiss musicians create their version of post-rock purely instrumentally. The fact that they nevertheless have a very special sense of humor on the word level can be seen in the titles of their albums: "Soundtrack To An Individual Emotion Picture Mindmovie" is one of many remarkable ones.

Leech have nothing to do with typical rock'n'roll clichés. This is partly because, after more than two decades in the music business, they tend to trust empirical values. According to the Swiss post-rockers, experience shows that it's better not to light the party rocket at both ends at the same time after every concert on tour. Especially as, according to founding member Urs Meyer, they don't have a nightliner with a driver, but sit at the wheel of the tour bus themselves.

Leech's party behavior is as controlled as their musical approach is focused. Since 1995, Leech have been playing instrumental post-rock with the courage to take small breaks - and in doing so, they constantly explore new rhythmic figures, combine them with flowing melodies and always have two things. Firstly: plenty of time. And secondly: peace and quiet. You can hear this in tracks like "October" and "Hands Full Of Hearts, Heart Full Of Head". You can be just as enthusiastic about them as you are about the title of the album on which these tracks are found. What is it? Like this: "If We Get There One Day, Would You Please Open the Gates?"
