After all, only a few people in Germany benefit from it: privileged, heterosexual and cisgender white middle-class people. And the exploitation of everyone else is pushed into invisibility.

If we want to live in a free society that demands real equality for all people, a lot has to change: in our lives together, in politics, online, at work and in our understanding of democracy in general. Step by step, Sibel Schick analyzes the exclusionary mechanisms of white feminism on the basis of current social debates, breaking with traditions and expectations. A highly relevant plea for a fairer world.

Sibel Schick was born in 1985 in Antalya, Turkey, and moved to Germany in 2009. She works as an author and journalist and her articles have appeared in media such as taz, nd, Missy Magazine, Der Spiegel, Frankfurter Rundschau, Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger and many more. Her book "Canceling White Feminism. Why our feminism must become more feminist" was published by S. Fischer in September 2023. "Hallo, hört mich jemand?", a collection of her feminist and racism-critical columns and commentaries, was published by Edition Assemblage in 2020. In 2019, her booklet "Deutschland schaff' ich ab. A potato dish" was published by Sukultur.
