The indie musician, singer-songwriter, lyricist and composer Riff Cohen was born in Tel Aviv in 1984 and received training in music and performance art at an early age. She released her first album during an artist residency at the Cité des Arts and shot, directed and produced her own music videos. Her career took off internationally with her single "A Paris" (2010).

Following the success of her first album, Riff signed a contract with Universal Music in Paris in 2012 to release the album internationally and to go on a year-long tour of Europe and Turkey. In 2013, Riff won the ACUM Emerging Artist Award. In 2015, she released her second album "A La Menthe" and toured Europe and especially Turkey. Riff sings in English, Hebrew, French and Arabic. Her single "Dans Mon Quartier" was translated into Turkish and became a big hit in Turkey with over 228 million streams. In 2020, she released her third album "Quelle Heure Est-Il" at a Zoom concert in front of over 5,000 people. Today, Riff lives in Tel Aviv and is currently working on her fourth album.

Riff is the executive and musical producer of all her works. She has also worked on projects by Enrico Macias and Goran Bregović. Her music incorporates Persian, Turkish, Iraqi, Moroccan, Algerian and Berber influences as well as elements of Israeli oriental music of the 90s. Over the years, Riff has gained a wide and diverse audience worldwide, both secular and religious, and has performed in Europe, Turkey, Dubai, Israel, Jordan, India and other countries.
