In the organizer's words:

"My grandpa wiggled his ears again for a moment. And then he got up and went off..."
Ira has built something. A world of her own for feelings, a memory playground. She invites everyone to this special place and encourages them to let their thoughts wander and let their feelings flow. "Under Dragons" is a play about death and grief for everyone aged 8 and over.

What is it like to lose a loved one? How can a relationship continue after death and what comforts us? Some memories never go - others turn into new rituals with other people. In this performance, the audience is invited to immerse themselves in Ira's world, which is characterized by shared experiences with her grandfather Mate and the time after his death. Between apricot schnapps, oil lamps and snail poop, Ira becomes a superhero...

This play aims to integrate the themes of death and mourning a little more into everyday life and our society. In "Under Dragons", these themes are not only dealt with artistically, but the audience is taken on a journey at the end of which an open discussion is offered.

BRONIĆ/RÖHRICH stand for contemporary productions between theater and performance. Since 2020, the duo has been creating thematically and aesthetically well-composed narratives that provide space for experiences.
