Daniel is a Hamburg-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, and visual artist with a background in classical piano.During his studies in classical piano, voice, and upright bass at the Hamburg Conservatory (HfMT), he played bass in the Senegalese Mbalax band Djolof and founded hisown project, Ocean Grooves. In 2000, he received a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music. With his Arabic ensemble Shibly Band, he toured Syria andperformed at the Jerash International Festival, Jordan.In 2011, he released his solo album Morphosis, followed by the production of Valerie Louri’s album Edith Lefel Tribute in 2013.Daniel’s work spans a broad spectrum of styles, including theatre productions at Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Thalia Theater Hamburg, Theater Lübeck, and major musicalslike The Lion King and Hamilton.He has collaborated with artists such as Wir sind Helden, Dominique Horwitz, Daniel Hope, and Ethiopian stars Hamelmal Abate and Manalemosh Dibo.
