Ex Colorado is the solo project of Argentine musician and producer José D’Agostino, based in Frankfurt since 2020. Previously part of Buenos Aires’s indie underground scene (Go-Neko!), since 2017 he creates introspective, landscape-inspired songs under the Ex Colorado name. His work combines Krautrock, ambient, dream pop and minimalist textures, often inspired by space, memory, and physical landscapes.

The new album "Ex Colorado 3" expands his vision of instrumental krautrock into a cinematic exploration of landscapes in motion.

The album draws inspiration from the encounters between the forest and the urban systems around it. Across seven tracks, Ex Colorado 3 reflects the constant interplay between pause and motion, nature and infrastructure, silence and acceleration.

Musically, the record drifts between motorik rhythms, ambient electronics, and dreamy guitar layers, blending analog warmth with contemporary textures. It is at once hypnotic and uplifting, a soundtrack that feels equally suited for inner reflection and endless journeys.
Positioned somewhere between the experimental legacy of Neu! and Harmonia, the electronic minimalism of Kraftwerk, and the melodic pulse of Stereolab or Primal Scream, Ex Colorado 3 reimagines krautrock as a modern language for travel, memory, and transformation.
