Maria Garcia Teutsch is an award-winning poet and professor. Her most recent collection, What She Saw in the Lotería Cards was published by Bottlecap Press in 2025. Her cinepoem, The Blue Whale of Madness (2025) was selected as a semi-finalist at the Austin International Art Festival, Palermo International Film Festival, and Brussels World Film Festival. She is the author of the prize-winning collection, The Revolution Will Have its Sky, (Minerva Rising Press); and The Swallows of America (Dancing Girl Press), which she turned into a one-act play which premieres at the Speech is Not Free VII festival at Galerie Z22.
