Next home game for the FC women. After 1,600 fans flocked to the Franz Kremer Stadium on the second matchday and created an inspiring atmosphere, the second home game is scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2024, 12 noon. The opponent is SC Freiburg. Kick-off at the Franz Kremer Stadium is at 12 noon.

Striker Vanessa Leimenstoll says: "It's sure to be a great atmosphere again. I'm really keen to get three points. We're fired up for the game and if the fans are too, we're even more excited."

FC coach Daniel Weber, coach of the FC women, said: "Unfortunately, we only got one point. The way we played was completely ok, but we have to achieve better results. We want to play boldly and have strengthened our squad in the summer with seven players who have international experience. We have incredible support in and around the club to take our steps forward."

The opponent

SC Freiburg have picked up four points so far. On the second matchday, SC won 3:2 at TSG Hoffenheim, while last week they drew 1:1 against Jena. SC successfully appealed against the scoring of the match on matchday one, which was lost 3-2 to Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The referees had wrongly allowed Leverkusen's missed penalty to be retaken. As things stand, the match will be rescheduled.

The FC squad

Attacker Vanessa Leimenstoll and Austrian international striker Nicole Billa were forced off the pitch with injuries during the game in Wolfsburg last weekend. However, they have already been able to train again this week and are available to the FC women again. A good omen: The FC women have either won or drawn their last six matches and have not lost a single game since 2021.

Shuttle service and stadium opening

Please arrive by bike or public transport on the home match day, as the main parking lot and the forest parking lot at the Geißbockheim will be closed. There will also be a free shuttle service at the parking lot of the western branch of FC's main sponsor REWE (Rewestr. 8, 50354 Hürth-Efferen). The parking lots P1 - P5 are available free of charge. Please only use the truck entrance via the K2N district road. A free shuttle service will be offered from there to the Franz Kremer Stadium and back between 10.00 am and 3.30 pm. The stadium opens at 10.30 am.
