An apartment building. A place consisting of a stairwell, 11 doors, hallways, 8 people—maybe more. No windows and a very distinct smell. 

The same street, the same sunrise: For some, the day is just beginning; for others, it’s just ending; for still others, it stands still.

Everyday life goes on. Children play in the courtyard; one person hangs up laundry; another hurries out of a door. Teenagers show off their abs while chugging energy drinks. An argument echoes through the stairwell. The café on the ground floor is being unlocked. Two people are kissing. Doors open and slam shut. 

What seeps out into the world?

What remains hidden?

You don’t get to choose your neighbors. Bodies that almost touch, miss each other, mirror one another, and yet still noticeably influence one another. Every second is full of stories—and every story has multiple doors.

*204 Neighbors* is about perspectives—how differences and similarities clash, argue, and reconcile. Imaginative, humorous, and playful, it creates a snapshot of our times.
