In the organizer's words:
"A Trumpet for Nap - Aufstieg und Fall eines Tellerwäschers" is a modern urban fairy tale from the 1950s (first performed in 1959). The rousing music is an early work by the Munich composer Willhelm Killmayer, the text is by the playwright Tankred Dorst.
The story: Nap, a clumsy dishwasher, makes a fabulous career as a jazz musician thanks to his deceased aunt Rebecca, then suddenly falls into the abyss of despair and is finally saved by love.
