On November 24, we cordially invite you to a special African Night - with a live concert by Afrodream and an authentic Senegalese dinner prepared by our Senegalese chef.
The evening combines music, culture and solidarity:
We use the proceeds from the dinner to support a German course for our chef, who is integrating with great commitment and learning the German language.
This is what the organizer says:
Afrodream was founded in Turin in 2018 by Abou Samb (Senegal, vocals & percussion) and Luca Vergano (guitar). The band brings together musicians from all over the world: Ariel Verosto (Argentina, piano & flute), Gabriele Cappello (saxophone), Giulia Napolitano (trombone), Alessandro Negri (drums) and Gianluca Gallucci (bass).
Their sound combines African rhythms with Western melodies and is carried by Samb's expressive, hopeful and sometimes melancholic lyrics. This unique fusion makes for rousing live performances that transport the audience into a euphoric, almost cathartic atmosphere.
Afrodream has already wowed audiences on international stages, including the legendary Glastonbury Festival, the Saalfelden Jazz Festival, the Italy World Music Festival and numerous concerts in London, Switzerland, France, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany and the UK.
A particular highlight was their tour of Senegal, including a performance at the renowned Retba Festival in Dakar. They also shared the stage with Newen Afrobeat (Chile), a band that collaborated with Seun Kuti.
