“Alle Wege führen zum Tango” - Tango Canción - Hemelingen klingt!
In the organizer's words:
Under the title “All Roads Lead to Tango,” soprano Coco Joura and pianist Juan María Solare present a program that allows the audience to experience tango as the destination of a wide variety of musical paths—a subtle allusion to the well-known saying, which usually features Rome as the center.
Tango, itself born of diverse migratory movements, unites various musical influences—and thus becomes the destination of a wide variety of paths.
Oscillating between melancholy and passion, the sung tangos unfold with both intimate tenderness and dramatic intensity. At the heart of the program is the close connection between lyrics and music: stories told through song, subtle linguistic nuances, and the interplay between rhythm and expression.
The repertoire includes well-known classics, such as works by Piazzolla and Gardel, as well as rarely performed pieces, painting a multifaceted picture of the genre—from its poetic roots to more recent forms of expression.
Soprano Coco Joura and Buenos Aires-born pianist and composer Juan María Solare approach this repertoire with particular stylistic sensitivity. Both approach the tango from different perspectives—and find a common ground in it: entertainment grounded in musical depth.
