altonale Kunstherbst 2025 - Diverse art in the former parcel distribution center

altonale brings art to extraordinary spaces! After its successful return last year, altonale Kunstherbst is opening its doors again in 2025 - and bringing art to life in Altona.

On 29 and 30 November 2025, the former parcel distribution center in Altona will be transformed into an extraordinary "distribution center for art". Industrial charm and creative energy come together on around 1,200 square meters and create space for contemporary art in all its facets - open, diverse and direct.

Temporary studios - encounters with artists on site

Around 60 artists present their works in open spaces, small temporary studios and inspiring meeting rooms - from painting, drawing and graphics to sculpture, installation, urban art and design.

The special feature is that the artists themselves will be on site so that visitors can engage in a personal exchange and gain insights into their artistic work.

The weekend will be accompanied by a varied supporting program. There will be interactive live art and a sound installation will fill the space with new sounds. A highlight and special experience is the popular altonale art auction on Sunday, where selected works can be purchased at auction.

The program

Saturday, 29.11.2025
Throughout the day, you can experience the 3D mapping of the Create Collective in the foyer. Light, sound and movement merge here to create an immersive installation - digital and human gestures interweave to create a flowing narrative.
The "Light Houses" project, which is also represented in the foyer throughout the day, combines art and social commitment. The miniature houses made of concrete draw attention to homelessness and can be purchased. By purchasing them, you are making a contribution to district culture and helping homeless people.
From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., two artists will compete against each other in a spontaneous live painting battle and create completely new works in front of the audience.
From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the hands-on activity "Good News" in the hall invites everyone who wants to get creative - you can create your own motifs and messages with screen printing.
For those who prefer to listen, the reading "Letters to Theo" at 6 pm is just the thing. Gerhard Fiedler brings Vincent van Gogh's letters to his brother to life in an impressive way - accompanied by French chansons.
To round off the evening, the duo Bazille Noir will provide spherical sounds with ambient, dub and downbeat pieces in the foyer from 7 pm.
