When the Amaryllis Quartet plays Mozart in the Sendesaal, everything is simply good - this feeling quickly sets in when the renowned quartet makes another stop in Bremen! According to his contemporaries, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was not only a gifted composer, but also an enthusiastic quartet player on the violin and viola - a passion he shared with his friend and mentor Joseph Haydn. In any case, his admiration for Haydn seems to have been very great, as Mozart dedicated a cycle of six string quartets to him in 1785. In the second part, the Amaryllis Quartet is joined by Henrik Wiese, principal flautist of the Bavarian Radio Orchestra, and spans the musical spectrum from the Romantic-Impressionist music of Albert Roussel to that of Mozart's contemporary Johann Martin Kraus.
