Amber & the Moon and The Flavians play a double concert at Kulturhaus Insel in Berlin on May 28, 2024!

Amber &the Moon writes songs of dark beauty. Fragile and intimate acoustic arrangements create a mysterious and haunting atmosphere. While the lyrics hint at melancholy and vulnerability, the gentle and soulful voice of singer Ronja soothes any wistful poignancy. In this way, Amber & the Moon's atmospheric indie-folk music is reminiscent of musical elements and timbres from artists such as Daughter, Laura Marling and Kings of Convenience. Amber & the Moon began as the solo project of singer/guitarist Ronja until she met bassist/guitarist/vocalist Jonathan, who joined the band along with her drummer Torben to complete the line-up.

The Flavians formed in Berlin in 2017. The band consists of Swedes Joakim Jägerhult (drums) and Liam Blomqvist (vocals & guitar), Czech Anna Vaverková (vocals & keys) and Brit Thomas Wills (vocals & bass). Inspired by the warm, nostalgic sounds of the sixties and the hectic, hedonistic energy of Berlin, the band combines three distinct voices with psychedelic guitar textures, barroom piano and pounding drums to create surreal yet grounded, accessible, melodic and experimental songs. Since forming, the band have played sold-out shows in their adopted home of Berlin and have subsequently toured Germany headlining and supporting bands such as Catfish and the Bottlemen and Ten Tonnes. The band also spent the summer of 2019 playing a string of dates at festivals such as Glastonbury and Reeperbahn Festival. In 2020, they independently released their debut album "Ordinary People in an Ordinary World".
