In the organizer's words:
Although the district committee is an elected political body that helps shape and influence the borough, many citizens have little idea what this "borough parliament" is. How the district committee works and deals with citizens' concerns, for example, is covered in detail in a presentation. Examples will be used to explain what rights the BA has in hearings and decisions made by the state capital. It will also explain how projects in the borough and civic engagement can be supported by the borough budget.
