There are many architectural photographers and their approaches are diverse - yet documentary films about them are still rare. The new "Architecture and Film" series aims to offer a cinematic insight into the world of architectural photography. Various films on the subject will be shown in Dortmund and elsewhere (from November 4 to 25).

Architecture is a silent and patient model for photography. When photography was pioneered in the middle of the 19th century, buildings were the very first motifs.
