Das Leporello als Künstler*innenbuch
In the organizer's words:
This workshop focuses on the artist’s book as an independent artistic medium. The central focus is on exploring a theme, which is captured in the form of a leporello. The starting point for the content can be nature, water, stones, relationships, the inner and outer worlds, or entirely personal associations. For the artistic execution, we’ll use a variety of techniques, ranging from frottage, stamping, modeling clay, and collage to monotype and classical drawing.
The workshop offers the opportunity to explore these techniques, experiment with them, and combine them. The focus is not on perfection, but on collectively testing and developing ideas. Feel free to bring your own materials—things that inspire you, excite you, or have been waiting to be used for a long time.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have created their own leporello, which tells a personal story. The leporello, as a unique book form, is just as much a part of the process as discovering one’s own artistic expression.
