Artist Meets Archive #5: Artist Talk mit Juana Awad und Luisa Ungar

In July and August, the five artists participating in Artist Meets Archive #5 will be in Cologne as part of the International Photoszene to explore the various collections and archives. The resulting artistic projects will be presented during the Photoszene Festival in May 2027. But you can already get to know the artists now.

Back in July, Juana Awad and Luisa Ungar were guests at the German Dance Archive in Cologne. There, they explored the storage areas, delved deeply into the holdings, and learned about the archive’s working methods.

On August 20, the two will speak with Daria Bona about their work, present individual projects, and reveal what motivated them to explore the collections of the German Dance Archive in Cologne. What are their first impressions? And what role do (visual) archives play in their individual and collaborative practices? We can’t wait to find out!
