Learn to paint fluffy clouds at this ArtNight.

Looks complicated? Don't worry! We'll show you the right brush techniques to conjure up fabulous clouds on canvas, even if you're a beginner.

Dabbing, shading and working in several layers of paint. Take the plunge and learn new, exciting painting techniques with this motif.

What you will learn:

Acrylic:

Acrylic paint is a real all-rounder! When applied thinly, it can be used to create watercolor effects; when applied thickly, it creates a high color intensity. It can be thinned with water, dries quickly, is odorless and waterproof when dry.

Wet-on-wet:

The wet-on-wet technique involves working quickly and directly on the paint that has just been applied and is still wet, or spreading it with another layer of paint. It can be used to create beautiful organic and soft color transitions.

Pastos:

Pastose paint application, also known as the impasto technique, can usually be recognized by the relief-like application of the paint. It is a paint application that you can often not only see, but even feel. The aim of this technique is to apply the paint as thickly and opaquely as possible.

Sprinkling (spray technique):

Sprinkling is a form of abstract art in which paint is dripped, sprinkled, sprayed or poured onto the canvas. It is an expressive, spontaneous, abstract painting technique that creates an expressive and dynamic pictorial effect.

Dabbing:

Another popular painting technique for acrylic paint is dabbing. This involves dabbing or pressing the painting tool, napkins or sponges onto the canvas to create expressive shapes.

- High-quality canvas, stretched on a stretcher frame (30 cm x 40 cm, primed)

- 2 flat brushes

- 1 round brush

- 12 high-quality acrylic paints

- easel

- ArtNight apron

You will of course take your painted picture home with you, all other materials are for on-site use only.
