Exhibition: Other Worlds – Inner Universe in Suspension

“Other Worlds” makes inner states visible within the material. Liquid pigment,

layering, imprinting, and compaction become the medium in which perceptions,

memories, and experiences take shape. The series on display explore this

inner universe from different perspectives. Two of them are connected by a

common motif: topography.

Imprints form a bridge to our shared reality. What at first glance appear to be abstract,

nearly monochrome topographies are actually imprints of real places—traces created by

pressure and abrasion. Only the photographs of the sites where they were created give them

an origin and reveal where the trace comes from.

Stellar Grounds reveal the inner side of this motif. Pigment is deposited,

blends, and compacts into surfaces reminiscent of geological or cartographic

structures. They can be read as layers of lived experience.

On view for the first time is “Connection” from the Galaxies series: a dark, almost

solid field through which veins of blue light run. In the center lies a gap

—two zones that either meet or diverge, depending on the viewer’s perspective.

The works are complemented by “Obscure Relics” and “Primal Bodies”: dense,

three-dimensional condensations and materialized states that remain as independent

bodies.

The exhibition takes place at the Electric Eel Tattoo Studio in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, as part of

part of the Offene Ateliers Köln, Route on the North Bank of the Rhine. Original and

limited-edition fine art prints are available on site.
