It all started with the dream of a year of true freedom on the Red Continent. Aneta and Dirk Bleyer want to travel and stay wherever the wind blows them. After all, they are actually on the road in their off-road jeep! They explore the unknown North Australia on adventurous tracks and then travel into the dry outback. The distances are gigantic, but little by little they experience a diversity that leaves them speechless. The crocodiles on the beaches of the north are replaced by kangaroos in the south. In the cool rainforests of Tasmania, they document fluorescent mushrooms; elsewhere, pink lakes and blood-red gorges beguile the senses. The Australians are also heart-warming, whether First Nations people fighting for equality in society or cattle farmers living a hard life on isolated stations.
