Bailar, bailar y bailar... Como el agua
In the organizer's words:
“He Seems to Be Made of Water” – An evening of flamenco dance about flowing, dissipating, and finding one’s way
Flamenco springs from a deep, hidden well within ourselves. At times it flows quietly and elegantly, like a calm stream. At other times it carves its own path like a wild mountain stream—stormy and untamed, carving out its own space, driven by a powerful rhythm. Every movement is alive and in constant flux, holding nothing back.
Like water, flamenco seeks its own path. If you try to grasp it, it slips away. And yet it possesses an unbridled power. It breaks through walls, bypasses obstacles, and finds its way to the light even from the depths.
That is precisely where its magic lies.
Flamenco lives only in the here and now—it is not a static image, but a fleeting moment that passes the very instant it arises: when a heel touches the floor, a hand cuts through the air, and a dress sparkles in the spotlight. By the next blink of an eye, the movement has passed. What remains is a deep resonance in the room.
Anyone watching the flamenco performance will feel: “It seems to be made of water, como el agua”—and all the dancers bring their very own flow to the stage.
You can’t capture, confine, or possess flamenco. But you can witness how it carves its own path—straight into our hearts.
