This tour is a walking tour of the history and stories of the Hamburg district of Barmbek, which has a long tradition as an industrial location.

Explore at your own pace Barmbek's turbulent history, as a place of residence for workers, to whose residential quarters you will learn interesting details and discover historical places of the former village of Barmbek, which are otherwise hardly recognizable between the new buildings and whose hidden features will surprise you.

Also some famous personalities were born here, whose stories are just as exciting.

At the stops there are entertaining tasks to solve and fun questions to answer. Who knows, for example, what used to be called a flea box in Hamburg? Or whether there was once a Reeperbahn in Barmbek? Find out!

The tour is a great way to get outside and discover new things with family, friends or even alone.

The tour is about 3.5 km long, so it's best to take about 2 hours (depending on your pace).
