Batik Workshop

In the organizer's words:

This workshop offers the rare opportunity to learn from Indonesian batik masters and to work with the traditional batik machine "Canting". The batik makers will guide you through part of the traditional process of high quality "Batik Tulis" (in German: written batik - hand-painted batik).

As part of this special visit of the batik masters to Germany, MARKK, in cooperation with the Indonesian Consulate General Hamburg and IASI, will also present contemporary batik textiles with fascinating patterns.
