An evening for FLINTA* artists, the community, and club culture: To celebrate Club Culture Day, Femfrequency will be performing at Beate Uwe.

In the afternoon, during the private portion of the event, there will be a FLINTA* DJ workshop for beginners.

Starting at 7 p.m., the event opens to everyone: In the one-hour panel “Community Building in Club Culture,” we’ll discuss approaches, challenges, and opportunities for building communities based on solidarity.

The event will conclude with a showcase curated by Femquency featuring exclusively FLINTA* artists and a diverse lineup. Workshop participants will take the first slot—for more hands-on practice, less stage fright, and their first taste of performing on stage.

Our mission as a collective is to create safer spaces where FLINTA* people can experiment, thereby contributing to greater participation and visibility of FLINTA* people in the club and festival scene.

We want to create spaces where there is plenty of room for empowerment and mutual support, so that a sense of safety and self-confidence can flourish instead of self-doubt. For us, this also includes making the dance floor a safe space for FLINTA* people and facilitating access to areas such as stage management, awareness, and technical operations.

In addition to workshops, FEMQUENCY therefore offers a variety of opportunities to network and support one another, so that we can move closer to our vision of an equitable club and festival scene.
