Bewegende Zeiten: Ein szenischer Rundgang mit der Geschichstwerkstatt

Sun., Sept. 13, 2026, 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Those were turbulent times when the St. Georg History Workshop was founded on December 6, 1990. Its goal was not only to look back on events, but also to help shape them going forward. And so the members have dedicated themselves to children’s lives, the drug crisis, gentrification, and all the problems of the present, always viewing them through a historical lens to investigate causes and developments.

After more than 35 years, the association is using this anniversary as an opportunity to look back on the alternative history of the neighborhood from the grassroots up. To this end, dedicated members have created a theatrical walking tour featuring many groups, organizations, and key figures from the past decades. We invite St. Georg residents and friends to join us at various stops as we set out to uncover traces of the neighborhood’s history.

There are two time slots. The tour starts at the Ohnsorg Theater for both.

Duration: approx. 2.5 hours, including a break with light refreshments at the Kulturladen St. Georg.
