In the organizer's words:

On June 27, 2025, the Berlin Global Village opens its doors for the fourth time and invites you to the BGVestival - the summer festival dedicated to openness, creativity and diversity.

You can expect a varied program for children and adults with live music, exhibitions, interactive formats and culinary offerings from all over the world. Together with initiatives, organizations and committed people, we celebrate diversity and exchange - in the middle of Berlin-Neukölln.

The BGVestival is free and open to everyone - whether curious, committed or simply looking for an enjoyable afternoon. Come along, network, discover new perspectives and celebrate with us!

Meet and Greet with the organizations (15.00 - 18.00)

Numerous organizations from the Berlin Global Village are looking forward to your visit at their information stands! Get to know their work and talk to them about topics such as social and ecological justice, sustainability, migration and diversity. Many stands also offer small hands-on activities - and maybe there will be a snack or two waiting for you to try.

Live music (stage, 17.00 - 21.00)

Look forward to a varied stage program with cross-genre sounds. Sheryaery will kick things off with a mix of hip-hop, Arabic melodies and electronic beats. In the evening, Daada and Mandhla provide the musical finale: soulful sounds, strong lyrics and electronic sounds with political depth come together - energetic and moving.

Children's program (EPIZ Library & Space, Ludothek, 15.00 - 18.00)

The Ludothek and EPIZ have put together a colorful program for children and young people. In the toy library, a creative program invites you to discover: there will be printing, handicrafts, toy building - and a barefoot path is also waiting to be tried out.

EPIZ is opening its library and space as part of the summer festival: here you can browse through the graphic novel and children's book section or try out the interactive climate scale. And if you fancy a virtual journey, you can explore exciting places in the workshop room with the help of VR glasses - from the Amazon rainforest to the supermarket around the corner.

Dance classes (Afrika Yetu & Foyer, 4.30 - 6.30 pm)

Salsa or Dança da Família? Or both! The associations Casa de las Culturas Latinoamericana and Afrika Yetu invite you to dance classes for all levels: Here, movement is guaranteed!

Screen printing workshop (Begegnungscafé, 3.30 - 6.30 pm)

Have you always wanted to design your own shirt or tote bag? Xinan Pandan will show you how to put original motifs on fabric at the screen printing workshop - creative, practical, to take away.

Exhibitions (Begegnungscafé & Lumumba Gallery 15.00 - 18.30)

An exhibition of photographs by Humantektur will be shown in the Begegnungscafé - it focuses on the intersection of housing and environmental justice . The exhibition in the Lumumba Galerie is dedicated to Berlin's first decolonial memorial, the Earth Nest. It is a place of remembrance, resistance and artistic confrontation with global power relations.

Film program (Chandra Mohanty room, 15.30 - 18.00, 19.30 - 21.00)

The M-Power association is committed to the empowerment of girls and women. In one of their most recent projects, numerous short films were made in which young FLINTA* people were active both in front of and behind the camera. A selection of these inspiring films can be seen at the BGVestival. In addition, the Move Global e.V. association invites you to a film screening of "Das Recht, Rechte zu haben" from 19:30. The film, which deals with the connection between participation and residence status, will be followed by a panel discussion with experts and activists.
