When the first phase of the redesigned Bonn Rhine River promenade opens on Saturday, September 12, 2026, as part of a community festival, the Bonn Water Station will also be part of the program. Located directly on the Rhine , the Wasserbahnhof will host the “Bonn Wine Festival on the Rhine” for the first time .
The Bonn Water Station on the Brassertufer combines dining, a visit to the Rhine, and boat tours in a unique setting. Right next to the KD pier, in addition to the dining options, you’ll find the KD Ticket Office Bonn. Here, guests can purchase tickets for boat tours on the spot and get personalized advice on the available trips.
For the Bonn Wine Festival on the Rhine, the area around the Wasserbahnhof transforms into a gathering place for wine lovers, Bonn residents, and visitors to the promenade opening. The focus is on select wines, a wine lounge with reservable tables, the prime location on the Rhine, and the musical program.
Live Music Right at the Water Station
As part of the official program for the opening of the Rhine Promenade, two singer-songwriters will perform at the Wasserbahnhof:
6:00 p.m. – Cozy Pullover
7:00 p.m. – Melchi Vepouyou
Starting at 2:00 p.m. and running until 8:00 p.m., the city will host a large-scale community festival along the new Rhine River promenade, featuring live music, DJs, and creative and family-friendly activities.
Enjoy wine—right on the Rhine
With the Bonn Wine Festival on the Rhine, the Wasserbahnhof aims to highlight its unique location right on the river. Guests can attend the wine festival for free or reserve a table in the wine lounge.
The concept combines wine, music, and the Rhine atmosphere, complementing the official program for the opening of the new promenade.
Meanwhile, the Rhine experience continues on the water
Bonner Personenschifffahrt will also be present that evening.
At 6:00 p.m., the BFF lounge cruise departs aboard the MS RheinLand.
At 8:00 p.m., the Evening Lounge begins on the MS Petersberg.
Both boat tours take place concurrently with the Bonn Wine Festival on the Rhine and are standalone events that can be booked separately.
Tickets for the cruises can also be purchased directly on-site at the KD Ticket Office counter at the Bonn Waterfront Station.
This allows visitors to plan their day flexibly: first experience the new Rhine promenade and the Wine Festival, and then—or at the same time—enjoy the Rhine from the boat.

Wine Lounge Reservation – Bonn Wine Festival on the Rhine By purchasing this ticket, you are reserving the selected seating category in the Wine Lounge at the Bonn Wine Festival on the Rhine on September 12, 2026, for the time slot specified at the time of booking. The listed ticket price is not an additional reservation fee, but rather a food and beverage credit. This credit will be applied in full toward drinks at the Wasserbahnhof Bonn during the booked time slot. Rhine Beach Chair for up to 2 people: €25.00 food and beverage credit Wine Lounge Table for up to 4 people: €60.00 food and beverage credit Rhine table for 6–8 people: €100.00 food and beverage credit If the total cost of food and beverages exceeds the included credit, the difference must be paid on site. The reservation is valid exclusively for the booked seating category and the booked time slot. You are only entitled to a specific numbered table or beach chair if it was explicitly selected and confirmed at the time of booking. The ticket does not entitle you to a specific number or type of beverages. The food and beverage credit purchased and the selection of beverages available on the day of the event are what matter. The Bonn Wine Festival on the Rhine will take place on September 12, 2026, at the Wasserbahnhof Bonn, Brassertufer 6, 53111 Bonn. Cancellation and No-Show Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before the start of the booked time slot. After that, a refund is only due if the reservation can be reallocated to another guest or if there are mandatory legal claims. If you arrive late, you are not entitled to an extension of the booked time slot. If the event is canceled by the organizer, the amount paid for the reservation will be refunded in full.
