Berlin, 2019: The narrator has become accustomed to her life with post-traumatic stress disorder. She is happy, living a calm, structured everyday life with her partner Elif. Until that day.
The memories flood her and threaten to drown her. A childhood characterized by instability, a drug-addicted mother - and a series of relationships in which she was always not understood enough. The thoughts can no longer be locked away - they seep through every gap in everyday life, overlaying gentle gestures with doubt, banal conflicts with pain. And in the middle of it all is Elif, who doesn't understand why she can't talk about it. Why she runs away, gets drunk, closes herself off ...

Ekaterina Feuerweisen lives in Berlin and has already performed her texts on numerous reading stages. She studied biology and is committed to raising awareness of the topic of mental health. "Inventur der Erinnerungen" is Feuerweisen's first novel - intense, painful and linguistically idiosyncratic.
