Hamburg's queer scene is alive and well, but its spaces are dwindling. Community spaces that offer protection, encounters and solidarity are disappearing. What remains are parties, often expensive, often selective, often part of a colorful but consumer-oriented surface.

In times in which right-wing movements are becoming louder again, in which trans and queer people are becoming increasingly insecure, such evenings are not an escape, but a necessity. Because transfeminine spaces in particular are democratic spaces, they teach us to listen, show solidarity and share joy.

This night does not belong to the elites, but to the community. And it is an invitation to everyone who knows that culture is only alive when it is there for everyone.

All proceeds from the evening will go to the TRANSTRONICA Festival, the world's only music festival with a focus on trans artists: a festival that has not yet received any funding from the city of Hamburg.
