The very first edition of Central Asia: At the Crossroads brings short films from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and the Uyghur region of China to the big screen in Berlin!
Across four curated programs, the festival delves into themes of everyday life and memory, identity, feminist and queer perspectives, and the experiences of marginalized communities.
But the festival is more than cinema: you can look forward to workshops, engaging Q&As and open talks with filmmakers, delicious food - and above all, plenty of space for encounters and cultural exchange.
