Benjamin Grau - live electronics

Verena Wüsthoff and Eva Zöllner have been working together as the duo Windspiel for 25 years. Recorders and accordion are an unusual, not always unprejudiced, but also very fascinating combination. In their program for chamber remix on 28.12., the two musicians have put together the highlights of their repertoire: The vocal is juxtaposed with the shrill, the bizarre with the archaic, and surprising fusions of sound show the two instruments in a new light. Windspiel stands for lively interpretations of the music of our time and is constantly working on expanding the repertoire for this special duo.

Benjamin Grau completed his concert exam in electronic composition at the HfMT Cologne with Michael Beil in 2020. In his music, Grau combines influences from popular music and contemporary composition in an experimental way. In recent years, his artistic focus has increasingly shifted from classical composition to self-programmed live electronics in collaborative, interdisciplinary contexts. To this end, he developed and produced a customized electronic instrument that allows him more flexibility and intuitiveness in these settings.
