Chorkonzert: Kern aus Licht

In the organizer's words:

Light, especially "light in the dark", is such a popular metaphor that it could fill several bookshelves.

The chamber choir CANTAMO Köln takes the more interesting and undoubtedly more melodious route, filling a concert program with works by Johannes Brahms, Hugo Wolf, Eric Whitacre, Wolfram Buchenberg, James MacMillan and others.

The program "Kern aus Licht - ein Schillern von Seele zu Seele" (Core of Light - a Shimmering from Soul to Soul) shows with partly well-known, partly discoverable masterpieces from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries that the best and most direct way to the emotional center, unlike the way to the mind, is still through music.
