20 Jahre COMICFESTIVAL HAMBURG

This year we’re celebrating 20 years of the Hamburg Comic Festival! It all started small but mighty in 2006 with a comic book fair at Haus 73. In 2010, it evolved into the Hamburg Comic Festival. What started as a small festival has grown into a major event recognized far beyond Hamburg’s borders, bringing together exhibitions, readings, book signings, children’s programs, guided tours, a sales fair, and opportunities to connect with other comic enthusiasts. 

Our festival brings comics in all their forms to a wide variety of locations throughout the city and invites you to discover new perspectives, exciting stories, and extraordinary artistic expressions—we are especially delighted to be able to celebrate this anniversary together with you. This year, you can once again look forward to a diverse program featuring exhibitions, readings, guided tours, our fair, a children’s program, and much more.

Festival Opening & “Cannon” Exhibition Opening with Lee Lai:
Fri, Oct. 2, starting at 6 p.m. – MOM ART SPACE Gängeviertel – Valentinskamp 34A
The artist will be present.

Followed by: exhibition openings in the Gängeviertel (starting at 7:00 p.m.) – and at other venues (starting at 8:00 p.m.)
