Community Workshop “Geteilte Mobilität: wer verteilt was?”

Bike-sharing, e-scooters, and other shared mobility services have long been part of Cologne’s cityscape. We use them, appreciate the extra options they offer, but we also get annoyed by parked vehicles or wonder why they’re parked exactly where they are.

For whom does this “shared mobility” actually work—and for whom does it not? Who decides how such services help shape or reshape our city? What role do apps, digital platforms, and their data play? And what does this mean for space, traffic, sustainability, and community life in Cologne? The workshop invites participants to explore together the role of shared micromobility in the city of Cologne.

How?

During the workshop on September 17, we’ll explore different viewpoints and perspectives, travel through the city using various modes of transportation, and then work with artists to map our experiences.

Followed by an opportunity to wind down with drinks and snacks.

All perspectives are welcome!
The workshop is explicitly aimed at anyone who cannot or does not want to use shared mobility services!

Who are we?

The workshop is organized by the subproject “Navigation in Online/Offline Spaces” of the Siegen Collaborative Research Center “Media of Cooperation.” The project investigates how mobile media and platforms are reshaping movement through urban space in the context of the mobility transition.
