CRUNCHY SWEATER feat. PACKED RICH & RETROGOTT

South African and Nigerian-German multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and artist Crunchy Sweater brings his dynamic live show to the stage on his first EU tour. A key member of the SAMA-nominated band NLite, Crunchy crafts a fusion of alt-rock, afropunk, neo-soul, and ska. His music balances infectious hooks and ethereal guitar melodies with a distinct shift between warmth and darkness—drawing inspiration from Southern African pioneers like 340mL and BLK JKS, as well as the raw intensity of King Krule, Greentea Peng, and Nirvana. Honed through performances at major international festivals, including Bushfire and Rocking the Daisies, his live sets offer a deeply honest and immersive experience.

He will be joined on stage by Munich-based beatmakerPacked Rich, who explores the intersections of hip-hop, jazz, and electronic music. Performing entirely live without playbacks or sequences, Packed Rich delivers spontaneous compositions directly on the MPC1000, driven by crackling samples and classic drum machine aesthetics.

Rounding out the trio—known, among other things, for his collaboration with producer Hulk Hodn as the legendary duo Huss und Hodn—is Cologne-based rapper Retrogott. A staple of the hip-hop scene for over two decades and fresh off his new release in May, he’s back at King Georg after more than a year.
