The local elections are over in Bonn - Lukas Rietzschel has created a similarly tense scene for the stage: THE EXAMPLE LIFE OF SAMUEL W. is set shortly before the election in a medium-sized town in the east of Germany. Two candidates are facing each other: the incumbent mayor and Samuel W., who everyone is talking about - not least because he has joined a radical party. Citizens, politicians, the press and opponents come together at an election meeting.
Who is Samuel W.? A person, an idea, a symbol of our time? How is it that one becomes radicalized while the other seeks consensus and reconciliation?
