Das Eigenleben des Dings – Eine Ö_Schreibwerkstatt zu Stofftieren und anderen unsichtbaren Freunden
In the organizer's words:
As part of Jens Kabisch ’s exhibition *Imaginary Friends* at the Maximiliansforum, the artist will lead a writing workshop with Jan Erbeldingat the Maximiliansforum.
The theme is“The Independent Life of the Thing”:
We’ll write texts about, for, and to our imaginary, invisible friends. Open to anyone who already enjoys writing, and to anyone who’d like to try their hand at creative writing. We’ll do some short, simple exercises and then discuss the results together. Pens and paper will be provided, but you’re also welcome to bring your own writing materials.
Jan Erbelding is a visual artist and author. He lives and works in Munich. In addition to sculpture and photography, his artistic practice focuses primarily on writing.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
In his exhibition *Imaginary Friends*, Jens Kabisch opens up a new space in which he poetically explores the phenomenon of invisible companions. And you’re invited to join him.
Imagine it’s summer, and you’ve decided to do something for yourself. Perhaps you’d like to confront one of the great themes of the human psyche: How do you feel about your imaginary friends? What? You don’t have any imaginary friends? That’s too bad. Or have you lost them? What a shame!
Munich-based artist Jens Kabisch is here for you and your invisible or lost imaginary friends. Stop by the MaximiliansForum. Every Saturday afternoon, for three months, you’ll encounter yourself—and perhaps others who are also on a quest. Bring your stuffed animals or invisible imaginary friends. Share stories and wishes with us and all beings—whether present or not.
We look forward to seeing YOU and your IMAGINARY FRIENDS!
