Denied Square Quartet | LeipJAZZig
In the organizer's words:
Where contrapuntal precision meets free improvisation.
The Denied Square Quartet (Fridolin Krön—guitar, Hans Arnold—drums, Georg Demel—trombone, Friederike Bartel—soprano saxophone & composition) has developed a new program whose piece titles follow the “Unlikely Thoughts” concept. The name says it all: in their collaborative performances, these four accomplished improvisers break down the boundaries between structure and freedom.
Following two released EPs as a duo and a quintet (Exit Boredom and People with no Jobs), this third program also promises an exciting evening for lovers of modern jazz and experimental music, as well as for anyone who wants to participate in the musical realization of unusual ideas through musical exchange.
