To mark the opening of the Academy, we want to take a closer look at the Middle East in a series of lectures over several evenings.

The Middle East is a region of immense historical, cultural and geopolitical interest. Steeped in a rich history and diverse cultures, it is also the scene of complex political conflicts, religious traditions and a constantly changing social landscape.

We want to hear from people who are experiencing the conflict first-hand, such as Abbot Nikodemus Schnabel and Natalie Amiri, as well as those who have been following the country for decades and are intimate connoisseurs of the scene, such as Prof. Dr. Michael Wolffsohn.

On this evening, Dr. Benedikt Franke, Deputy Chairman and CEO of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) and an Israeli expert on diplomacy and foreign policy will come to Bergson. We are looking forward to exciting insights into diplomacy and getting a feel for the work that goes on in the back rooms, tirelessly trying to find solutions through diplomacy.
