The sixth course is a tragicomic chamber play by the GORILLA ensemble from 2021. The play can be enjoyed like a buffet. A bit of everything and too much of everything. It is food for thought, a last meal, social criticism and training in perception. Tender and brutal. And guaranteed to be beyond "good and evil" or "wrong and right".
Five old school friends, one table - and a menu full of conflict.
Each brings a course, but instead of harmony, they serve up tension: Different diets clash with competing world views and old wounds clash with new identities. Between longing for closeness, heated moral questions and unspoken truths, food becomes an existential exchange of blows.
After the performance, we cordially invite you to enjoy a plate of soup in the foyer - and to talk about consumer habits, favorite recipes and images of yourself and others.
"Maik Giesbert (director) and Nele Beckmann (script) have integrated the topic of nutrition into the plot and the characterization of the women in a pointed and fitting way. Quite casually, the crucial questions of how people want to deal with each other and their environment in the future are raised here." Norbert Raffelsiefen (kritik-gestalten)
"A 6-course menu as a culinary exchange of blows - a cultural treat that deals with social issues relating to consumption and personal moral concepts in dealing with it in a full-bodied and entertaining way. Without pointing a finger, but with vehemence and a tip of the tongue. Be sure to watch and enjoy!" (Audience comment)
