How does the essence of a plant become a fragrance?

Join us for Distillation Thursday, an open workshop held every third Thursday of the month. Just stop by, join in, or spend some relaxing time with us—whatever you’d like. Together, we’ll distill plants and discover how fragrant distillates are created from leaves, flowers, or herbs.

No prior knowledge is required. Anyone who’d like it can receive a brief introduction or assistance.

The “Scent Lab” was developed in collaboration with the Institute for Pharmaceutical Biology in Bonn and is an interactive component of the exhibition “Plant Knowledge—Ecologies of Memory and Action” at the Global Heritage Lab/P26.
