The documentary "The Colors of Staying" sheds light on a largely unnoticed side of German-Moroccan migration history - from a female perspective.

"The Colors of Staying" portrays Moroccan women workers who came to Germany in the 1970s as part of the German-Moroccan recruitment agreement. 60 years later, Kristina Bublevskaya, Ráhel Eckstein-Kovács and Fatima Remli set out in search of their stories. The focus is on emancipation, courage and strength - it's about new beginnings, identity and the feminist movement that emerged through these women and still has an impact today.

The event is part of the W3_Project "Beyond Borders" and takes place in cooperation with the Lichtmess Kino.
