In the organizer's words:
“MACHANDELTAL”
Musician and author Dirk Zöllner, painter and graphic artist Jörg Menge, and bassist Frank “Brandy” Brennecke present “Alles auf Anfang,” the pilot episode of the graphic novel “MACHANDELTAL.” This sophisticated comic for adults chronicles recent German history in an exciting and entertaining way.
The distinctive main characters—Sherman, Taifun, and Bärbel—examine socially relevant situations from their individual perspectives simultaneously. The story begins with a flashback from the pandemic lockdown to 1970s East Berlin, where they founded their band, SB62. “MACHANDELTAL,” a cross-media fusion of text, images, and music, celebrated its successful premiere at the COMIC-SALON in Erlangen in June 2024.
